Alfriston - Historic Buildings

Alfriston Clergy House was the first building to be purchased by the National Trust. Bought in 1896 for £10, parts of the Clergy are open to the public. There is also an attractive and charming cottage garden.
For full details, opening times and more please visit the Alfriston Clergy House web site.

St Andrews, a 14th Century Church, known as the Cathedral of the South Downs, was constructed using local flint in the shape of a Greek Cross on a mound; believed to be an old Saxon burial ground.
For more details please visit the Alfriston Churches web site.
